It’s Kelli’s Official Birthday Show! The 24th is the big day but they are celebrating right now! It’s a Rose All day kinda day so get ready for a fun-filled hour of good friends and lots of laughs.
First they talk about an incredible memorial that Anne was asked to be a part of a couple of days ago. It was a Memorial Service for Ellen Tauscher, a former Congresswoman from California and Under Secretary of State for Arms/ Control and International Security Affairs during the Obama Administration and under Secretary Clinton. Ellen was also the first woman to sit on the NY Stock Exchange and the youngest to ever do so at the age of 25 years old. She also famously negotiated The Russian Arms Treaty while working at The State Department. There was nothing this woman couldn't do.
The service was held at The Washington National Cathedral. Anne was asked to perform 4 of Ellen's all time favorite songs by her friend Hilary Rosen, a future podcast guest. The Eulogies were done by The Honorable Dianne Feinstein, General Jones, The Honorable Steny Hoyer and Secretary Hillary Clinton. It was a day Anne will never forget. To be part of honoring someone so incredibly brilliant and dedicated to her country....was life changing.
Finally they talk about seeing Eddie Izzard in New York City at the Beacon Theater in his Wunderbar Tour. Its the last tour he is doing before he joins Parliament so make sure to catch him if you can.
Their special guests today are an amazing power couple, Carl Byrd and Christopher Boudewyns. They are 2 of the most creative guys they know. They were the brains behind BOTH of Anne's CD’s artwork and she is obsessed with how brilliant they are. Carl is an award-winning Creative & Art Director and owner of his own agency Carl Byrd & Co. and Chris is a portrait photography who shoots Broadway, Film & Recording Artists. They are also parents to a wonderful daughter Harper. Hear all about what they are up to, including Carl's feature film directing debut that is currently in pre-production, Marc Jacobs Is My Father, starring Noah Galvin, Isabelle Fuhrman and Marc Indelicato.
